Naroda Patiya Judgment: Loss of humanity
Neither victory of riot victim nor defeat of convicts rather loss of humanity. Verdict in Naroda patiya case has come, 32 convicted, 29 acquitted . I am sure both, accused as well as government will appeal this order. Government will challenge acquittal whereas convict will challenge their conviction but my concern is not the case rather loss of humanity. Many secularist claiming it victory but it gave me pain. How punishment of murder accused can be categorized victory or defeat. 97 people lost life in that massacre, their families still have not and will not over come from trauma. Family of convict will also suffer; they are the silent victim of such hatred act. I read, people justify this massacre on the ground of godhra train burning act. Can anyone say, those killed in Naroda Patiya were involved in Godhra incidence and whether women or kids had participated in Godhra train charring act. Because of their Muslim orientation, they killed. It was their single guilt. After
